Resilience Rusizi RFC
Resilience Rusizi RFC was founded in 2015 by Donatien Ufitimfura, a former captain of the school rugby team at TTC Mururu.
In their first season, Resilience joined the Rwandan National League and despite having only had experience of playing 7 aside they won all of their matches in the southern division and went on to reach the final where they were runners up.
An impressive start to their rugby career. Since then they did well in 2017 being unbeaten until the semi finals.
Resilience (and the local schools and college) have benefited from generous donations of kit and equipment from many welsh clubs including Bedlinog RFC, Oakdale RFC, Caldicot RFC, RTB RFC, Denbigh RFC, Nelson RFC, and Caerleon RFC with balls and equipment from the Gwent Dragons Community, Usk RFC and rugby balls from Tom Shanklin an ex welsh international player.
